Wow! I'm getting sleepy to!

Wow! What a nice QSL. It is from the Italian Team around I2YSB and their perfect operation from TT8TT. Worked them on all bands and modes where I didn't had Chad before.

Click on it and enjoy.

Have tried to work 5T0SP on 80 m several days but so far no QSO. But this morning he was around S7 to S9 and was lsn 8 up. Called once and he was in the log. Told you before that I have limited amount of radials in that direction. But this morning no problem to break the pile.

The snow continue to fall. I have about 5-6 inches now. Temperature is about -3 C ( 26 F ).

CUL all of you readers out there.

Here we go!!

Awoke this morning and this is what I saw when I looked outside!

So now we have at least 3 to 4 mounths of this white fluff ( I think it is called snow ) on the ground.

I have requested QSL for the PT0S operation and also made a small donation. Have also worked 5T9SP and 7P8D on a few band slots. Next operation I'm waiting for is Campbell Island (ZL9). but they are in bad weather down at the "Roaring Forties" where the wind always is a problem. Hoope they will land safe and sound and start operation so I can get Campbell isl in my log.

Take care all of you readers out there and CU SOON.

New One Received today.

D64K QSL arrived in my Mailbox today. This is a new DXCC and IOTA for me. Worked them on a few band slots on CW/SSB/RY. Have it alreddy conmirmed on LoTW but need card for IOTA. So AF-007 pushed my IOTA score up one point.

Nice card. It was outside the Comoros a hi-jacked 767 crashed on the shore due to lack of fuel. I have seen a doumentery of that incident where the pilots told the bad guys that they need refuling but they didn't belive them with catastrophic result.

Tried to work PT0S on 40 m this morning. No success! Vorked V84 expedition on RY/ CW and SSB this morning on 15, 12 and 10 m bands.

Well I promised you all a picure and here we are.

Take care of you out there and remember life is still to short for QRP!!??

PT0S ooperation!

Wow! I have 4 bands confirmed in "On Line Log". Reading about the problem they have with waves taking down antennas and mingling up radials, enormous sound level from breaking waves, these guys are doing a fine job! These 4 hams have gone to this remote rock island just so you and me can have a new one in our log's. And they have payed most of the cost them self. Then I get frustrated when I read on the cluster about bad operators. Long time between QSO's, and so on.
Well my comment to to these armchair operators is : " Go your self to a remote place with no HRO and no Stores and no medical facitilities. And pay all expenses from your own pocket."

One thing I dont understand is the chase for multi band QSO's on SSB/CW/RY. For the DXCHALLANGE Award it is OK with one band QSO. Is this a problem caused by the Club Log Leader Board where you must have so many "Green" squares as possble??!! But for the DXCHALLANGE one band QSO is fine. But I guess it is the thrill to be on top of the Club Log Leader Board that is the driving force! I'm just pleased to get the new DXCC on any mode. The rest is just a bonus if I catch the DX on some more band slots. But if I have worked a DX on a specific band on, for an  example, SSB I don't work them on the same band on CW as it will not give me any more point on the Challange Award. But this is my opinion.

I also heard a new QRM:er. This one was calling "QRX" for minutes. Wonder wy!

Well now I have complained enough. Back to the radio. No picture today but I will come up with one next time.

finally in the PT0S log!!

Well, my QSO with PT0S on 20 m is now confirmed on their "ON Line Log". A new DXCC and IOTA is in the log and hopefully I will receive a QSL in the future.
Tried to work them on 80 this morning. But the pile was enormous and I don't have a chance. One of the reason is that I dont have so many radials in direction to PT0S. This is due to my house is standing in the way of the direction 180 deg to 260 deg. So this might be an explanation why I cant get a QSO with PT0S on 160 and 80 m.But I heard them with 579 to 599 on my K9AY RX antenna.

Warm outside. Temperature yesterday was around 11 C. It was almost a spring feeling.

Yesterday I replaced a Stabilizator Bar Ball Joints on my SUV. Due to rust and salt it was very hard to remove the broken one. But once it was gone it was 15 minutes to install the new one.

Well I will keep on calling PT0S to the bitter end and hope he will catch my week signals.

Take care and CUL.

PT0S Circus!

What a mess some times on the bands. Managed to catch them on 20 m CW. Then I have spent Several Hundred KWh on 160 and 80 m calling and calling and calling and call..................! And so far nada! Used my TL-922 to max.. Running about 1 KW on both 160 and 80 m.

Rebuilt my tuning unit for 160 to version 2. But still no QSO.

But I will keep on calling. Wonder how much power I actually need to break the pile. We have a limit in Sweden that allow us to use max 1 KW. But sometimes I wonder when my S-Meter is above S9+60 db!! Is it possible to check the purchase of GU78 and GU84 and some other tubes sutch as 4CX10000 and lookalikes? I have one GU74-b or 2 X 3-500ZG at my disposal.

Take care out there and keep the Stratosphere glowing.

DX Code of Conduct!

I have tried to work PT0S on several bands. I don't think I ever have heard so much QRM to make it more or less impossible to work them. Wonder if these hams have heard about the DX Code of Conduct. If not PSE check this link: http://dx-code.org/

But I don't think it will improve the situation. It is not easy for a small gun like me to work them when all big guns, whom I think alreddy have this country aproved in their DXCC is calling constantly even when the DX is transmitting. Wonder if they have a thing called Receiver??!! It would be nice if we ( I ) that do not have this country might get a chance to work them.

Well I will keep on calling them and hopefully I will get them on at least one band.

So back to LSN to the QRM:ers and have a ball!!

New on 40 m!

I received QSL from KP2/K5WE and by this I have KP2 (US Virgin Isl) confirmed on 40 m.
Nice card or.......?

I have had my 4WD SUV passed the yearly inspection without any remarks. That is impressive for a car that is 11 years old and has passed more than 270 000 Km. So now I have another year to drive until the next inspection. This is a requirement by law in Sweden to have all vehicles that are older than 3 years to have an safety inspection. In the UK they call it MOT check (if I remember correctly).

Not much on radio. I have called ZL7A a few times on bands where I need Chatham Isl. But so far no QSO. Still waiting for a lot of QSL cards. It is very slow to receive cards. LoTW is also very slow at the moment due to the large amount of logs uploading from the CQWW SSB contest.

Well that's all for now. Take care all readers out there.
