Got this QSL via buro. He was worked on 30 m CW and was a new country and IOTA (OC-005) for me.
Looks like a nice place to stay.

Last night I worked VU4PB and S21YZ both on 30 m CW in some of the most horrible piles ever. Will this nonsens ever stop? Where are all idiot's coming from. Continius QRM on both DX transmitting frequencies with tuning, sending dit's, sending fake calls. I thought this was a hobby, not a war!!??

As usual, Life is well to short for QRP!!

I found this QSL in my collected mail afer my adventures this week.
AF-057 Nossi Be was a new IOTA for me.

As usual, life is to short for QRP.

Been off line fore some days.

At aprox 1100 on the 21th of March I was hit by a massive infarct of the heart. I was more or less gone. Managed to open my mobile and I diled the last number I had used. It was to my friend SM5AQD, Hawk.
Told him that I had a heart fialure and asked him to call an ambulance.
The SOS alarm service called me back and talked to me and said that help was on the way. To my big suprice, within 5 minutes a Eurocopter AS 365N3 landed in my back yard and a nurse and doctor was at my side starting first aid. Then another friend showed up. SA5BJM, Johan. And the next minute an ambulance was also in my yard! I had 7 people around me! I might wonder what strings Hawk and Johan had to pull to get this action. But now I was under professional care. Then I where carried to the helicopter and off to one of the best hospitals in Sweden. Uppsala Akademiska. Landed within 8 to 10 minutes after tkof. I was rushed in to surgery and a clot in the front of my heart at one of the coronary artery was removed and also a stent was inserted to ensure full flow of blood. And in a minute all my pain was gone!!!!

I'm back home with lots of pills and restictions on me. But I'm in big big dept to Hawk and Johan as their actions probably saved my life.

Confirmed on 21, 18, 14, 10 and 7 MHz CW!

I think this is maximum for me to get from this expidition. I will not get involved in the caos in the pile's for SSB. And RTTY I just don't care (yet). I have tryed several mornings to get them on 80 m. But I think the QRM level at 4A4A make it impossible with my GP for 80 m and 1 KW. But 5 bands CW is OK in my book!!

4A4A story!!

Managed to chatch him this morning on 30 m CW. So now I have XF4 on 4 bands. I was trying this morning on 80 m but the QRM from frendly (!) EU hams was enormous. Almost impossible to hear 4A4A. I QSY to 30 and he is in the log on that band (I hope). Have to wait until the on-line log will be updated.

One thing I don't understand is the hams that are constantly QRM:ing on all DX frequeny's. Why???? Can't they make the QSO with the DX themself and therefor they have to make QRM so no one else will have the QSO??!! This is a major problem today on our bands today.

Received my IOTA award this morning. So I will hang it on the wall together with all the other diplomas I have!?

Replaced EPROM in my TS-950SDX

I replaced the old EPROM (JDVF from 1992) with the latest JQGA from 1996 a few weeks ago.
The radio have behaved OK and I have not found any issues with this software version.
Audio improvement on higher bands.

Bought the EPROM on ebay from Gordon in California US. Exelent service and EPROM was in my hand only 5 days after purchace on ebay.

Now I have 4A4A confirmed on 40 and 20 m band CW.
It was quite hard to hear him. But full volume and ears inside speaker I managed to copy them.
But if some of the QRM:ers had started to tune on his frequency, my eardrums might have gone fishing in an instant.

Put my new IOTA score up to 152!!!

40 m CW QSO!

28 MHz start to open

This afternoon I worked BA8BA, E21EJC, 4Z5RT, 4X/K2LS, YB1ALL, A65BD, 7Z1HL all on 28 MHz within 30 minutes. Later in the afternoon on 21MHz I worked J88DR. He was 599+20 db.
Nice that the sun is alive and kicking! I need 3 more QSL confirmations for 28 MHz to receive the 5BDXCC.
All is OK on 80, 40, 20, 15. Just 3 are missing on 28 MHz to get the score up for 5BDXCC! I have a few in the mail that I'm waiting for. Looking in the mailbox every day but so far nothing received.

The story of 4A4A and CY0 expidition continues! Both are to week to work for me. Need to put my antennas further up in the air. At the moment my beam is just up around 55 feet. But we have gale warning to night. I will not crank it up any further.

VP8O and all new PJ

LoTW is nice!
I got all my QSO's with VP8ORK and all new PJ's (4 ea) confirmed in LoTW. So that pushed my score in DXCC and Challange up a bit.
But the 4A4A is still hard to chatch. But there are still some days to go. Unfotunally I can't spend 24 h at the radio as I need some food and some fresh air now and then. Also I have to walk and paly with my dog. So when I'm out all my friends has worked 4A4A!!!.

LSN on both 7 and 10 MHz but I can't hear a sound over the QRM.
But they will be on the island until end of March so hopefully we will have at least one QSO??!!

Worked this morning

On 80 m this morning I heard HC2/KF6ZWD. He was 579 to 599 on my GP. After a few call he he was in my log.
A few minutes later I worked ZL50VK on 30 m band. Amaizing conditions on both 80 and 30 this morning.

Well!

Application for a IOTA award is sent and my QSL cards have been checked by SM5DJZ.
I have found 150 QSl cards but I will have to dig into my old QSL boxes and serch for more IOTA QSl cards.

Got a QSL card this week. ZD9T, Tristan da Cunha after a QSO on 40 m band. Puts my IOTA up to 150 confirmed so far.

WPX CW 2010

Got CQ Magazine for March. The results from WPX CW 2010 was published in this issue and I found that I was No. 1 in Sweden on 15 m.
Hopefully I will receive a nice diploma to hang on the wall in the shack.
