Last QSL received for 2013.

Today I received the last QSL for 2013. It was TX5D worked on 30 and 20 m band CW. They (Rob N7QT and Grant KZ1W) was on Raivavae Island OC-114 in Austral Islands. This looks like a nice place.

The only risk you are facing is to get a coconut in the head!!??? I wish I where there!

Keep on dreaming!

Hope next year will bring some of the missing IOTA's and some more new ones. I'm over 300 confirmed and there are about 30 that I'm waiting for. So there are a lot to do in this field.
I also have a few new ones from the IOTA Contest.

CU next year. HNY!!!

RAEM Award

Well, better late than never!!?? I have managed to get the RAEM 110 Award in Mixed version. I'm also qualified for a CW but I will stay with the Mixed one. I just started to collect all the 110RAEM stations a few Days ago. And look what I achieved!!

Nice!!! Not bad at all. but I must say that the 110RAEM stations was (is still) very Active. it was very easy to get them into my log. I also managed a QSO with R110RAEM. And this station Counts as 10 Points as the rest is just 5. And to get the Award you must have more than 110 Points.
So good luck to all of you out there and keep on chasing RAEM stations. One more day to go!!!

Tomorrow is the last day of 2013. So, Best New Years Greetings to all of you readers of this blogg.

CU next year!

New IOTA worked.

Today I worked A63RI from Dibba Rock AS-124 (Sirat Al Khawr) on 15 m CW. They had a lots of problem to get to the island. But finally they made it.

I also got a QSL today. It was from YB3MM/4 worked from Sebesi Isl OC-262.

So my IOTA score is still improving slowly.

Wx here in Sweden is bad. If it is not blowing it is raining. and temperature is just above freezing.

That's all for now. CUL

Wrong statement.

DX4WIN and also DX-cluster stated that CE9/UA4WHX was on VP8/H. But according to further information (SM5DJZ) he is just an ordinary CE. But he is on SA-050 Navarino Island in the Antartica Chilena Province group. And this was a new IOTA for me. So not so bad any way.

Have to show U a Picture where my sigs was feed from.

Works just fine. And normally I can work what I hear.

Wx here in this part of Sweden is windy. Temperature is between 5 and 8 C and wind is gusting up to almost 35 kt. But all my aluminium is still in the air.

So! Marry X-Mas and HNY to all of you readers out there. Hope 2014 will be a good radio year with lots of new ones.

Some band slots competed.

Today I received two QSL cards. First one was from HK0, San Andres Isl using the call 5J0R. I managed to work them on all missing slots including also RY and Phone. 8 QSO's did the work.

Nice card!

Next one was from Mayotte using the call TO2TT where I also managed to fill all missing slots (guarantee no dupe).

Also a nice card from I2YSB and Always very prompt reply. Thanks!!

Has not been so Active. But I worked CE9/UA4WHX working from South Shetland Isl (VP8).

Well, that's all for now, CUL

3 New IOTA's received.

Yoshitake, JJ8DEN made a fantastic tour around the Island of French Polynesia. I Think he visited around 4 different IOTA. But I'm not sure. I worked him from the 3 IOTA's I was missing. He visited OC-094, OC-131, OC-238, and OC-114. But the last one I had in my IOTA listing as CFMD.

So this will push my IOTA score up a bit (3 bits!).

But I still miss a lot of IOTAS that I have responded direct to. Either by SAE or Pay-Pal. But the respond is very slow. So I hope I will get a bunch of QSL in due time for the annual update to RSGB.

Have to tell you all about the weather. Last night it was 10 C ( 50 F ) warm outside and all of the White fluff has gone. So far this Winter have been very mild. But that can change in a blink.

Another new on 80 m and a storm on it's way!

Got V25A confirmed on 80 CW today. Thanks Kei for a Quick replay. Managed to Catch him in a rather big pile. But with a TS-590S and ACOM1000 and a full size GP for 80, it was not a big deal to break the pile!!??

So this is a ham that understand the Word "direct". QSO was 29-Nov-2013. Got the QSL in my hand 12 of DEC same year!!!

Weather is nasty. And it will get worse. Arlanda Airport predict sustained wind around 22 kt and gusts up to 35 kt. Hope all antennas will survive. I will go out and lower my Tower to about 9 m instead of now 20 m just as a precaution.

Well that's all for now.

New on 80 M CW.

I received a QSL from ZD8JR, Henri (OH3JR) operating from Ascension Island. And this was a new one for me on 80 CW.

A very nice card indeed.

Winter is closing in. We have about 2 inches of snow (White fluff) and a temperature at the moment of minus 6 C ( 21 F ). But the weather prediction says it will be warmer in the middle of this week.

Well, this will be a short blog.

Some new QSL's.

Today I received two (2) QSL's in my mail box. The first was 8R1Z worked on 20 m SSB (!). And this was a new on 20 and phone for me. Thanks Lennox for a nice QSL.

Second was from Eric, SM1TDE as 5X8EW. And this QSO took me by surprise. Eric had announced his operation from Uganda with  a totally different call. So when I worked him and he started to talk to me in Swedish, my Little brain had some delay before it went into gear!!! Shit happens all the time. Thanks Eric for a nice card.

Worked V25A on 80 m CW for a few minutes ago. Nice openings on 80. He was around S-6 to S-9.

Nice card via Buro!

I received this nice QSL via Buro. Worked on 40 CW with my miserable 40 m antenna. Times of wonder is not over yet!

Nice Place. Think of a very Cold beer and just sit in the shadow and enjoy life as it is! Keep on dreaming!

Worked some QSO's in the CQWW CW Contest last weekend. Just S&P and was using the cluster and my effort was just to get the green and red spots (new mulipliers in N1MM). Managed quite well in my own opinion.

No direct QSL's have arrived last week at all. I have about 30 out that I'm waiting for.

QSL from Mexico

Today I received a QSL from XE2HQI, Saul from Sonora. Nice card and my band slots are minus one for XE. Missing 12 and 160 m only.

This morning I have had a few DX into my log. What about XR0ZR on SSB on 20 m, 3DA0ET on 20m RTTY, XT26DJ on 20 m CW, S21ZBC 17 m CW, XZ1J on 15 m CW, PY0FF on 20 m CW. And I'm also in the log of W8A on 30 m CW. It has been an interesting morning.

Now I have to go to my post office to collect a letter. It is a dedicated ARRL Handbook for 2014!!
Will be nice in my library!!??

W8A on the bands!

Well, a new DXpedition is on-going. The QRM'ers have a ball as usual.
Wonder how I will get my self into his log? I have been calling and calling him on 30 m without any success. Hope they are aware that there are some kind of civilisation around 60 deg North in EU and not just stations from D and I land. And not all have a stack of 6/6/6 monobanders and 10 KW amps. There are actually stations using only one (1) three or 2 element Yagi with traps and only 1 KW. W8A is from American Samoa and I need it!!!

Have to show you a Picture of the material in the forest that I hope will be installed ASAP.

This is the 3X95 mm2 that is supposed to replace the 30 mm2 bare wires.

Well back to Calling on W8A!

Got a QSL!

Have to show you a QSL that I received today. It is from Libya, 5A1AL Abubaker. This is a new one for me on 18 MHz.

Very good that Abubaker is Active from Libya as this has been a "Black Hole" for a while.

Worked OA1F on 28 MHz just a few minutes ago. This is a new one on 28 MHz. So I have to order a QSL. It has been a few DX more. What about XV2CO on 15 m CW, 3A2MW on 12 m CW, FM5BH on 10 m SSB and last but not least XR0ZR on 12 CW. So there are openings now and than!!

So this is my second blog today. CUL

A sunny day!

The sun is shining from a clear blue sky. Rare in November. But today it is real!
Look at the Picture.

Taken 2013-11-13 at 10:30 local time!!!!

On the radio I have worked XR0ZR on 20 m CW. I have also managed to Catch T33A on 15 m CW.

Nothing is happening for the modification of the 10 KV Power line. Lots of material is laying in the forest near my house. There are almost 1100 m of 3X95 mm2 of isolated wire on rolls. Wonder when Vattenfall, the Company responsible for the work will start.  Hope they will start Before end of this year.

This will be short as I have to go out and enjoy the fine weather. Temperature is around +6 C ( 42 F ).

In the Club Log again.

Seams that the team at T33A has managed to merge the DXA log with Club Log. I worked them again as told and managed to get into the log for second time. And at the last update I have two ( 2 ) QSO's on 20 m. Thanks and hope the conditions will improve Before you will go QRT.
At the moment the K-Index at Dombås is 4 and SFI-Index is 154!! The Sun has had a minor attack of cerebral hemorrhage and sent out a class X1 flare in the direction towards Earth.

But I worked K9W on 30 m yesterday around 1900 Z.

This morning I worked XR0ZR,Juan Fernandez Isl on 30 m. This is not new for me but it was new on 30.

Logo borrowed from QRZ.com.

I'm at the moment LSN on 15 m for T33A but as usual here up in 60 deg North I can't hear a sound. But hopefully the propagation will improve during the day.

So, take care all of you readers and CUL

Not in Log!

The Banaba DXpedition has upload log to Club Log. But Moi was not in. But on the other system. The DXA Log, I'm in??!! I Think they have problem with the uploads.

Worked them (T33A) on 17 m this morning SP and within 10 minuter worked K9W on 20 m LP. Amazing conditions on the bands.

Banner borrowed from QRZ.com.

Worked 5J0R on RTTY on 20 m yesterday afternoon. So now I have HK0 San Andres on all needed band slots. Thanks for a fine operation. Now I will switch focus to T33A and K9W and try to get them in a few new band slots.

Well That's all for now. CUL

Wednesday, 6 November 2013

A new DXCC worked!

Finally I managed to get through the pile and got a QSO with T33A,Banaba Island. This is one to scratch of my list of missing DXCC entries.

Borrowed the banner from their Home-Page. Hope they don't mind.

I have also worked all missing band slots for 5J0R (HK0 San Andres Island). Only RTTY left to get it complete.

Also worked K9W on 17 m. But here I have a few more to do.
Both Wake and Banaba  are staying up to 18 of Nov. So I will let all the big guns that have invested in lots of Aluminium and big Amplifiers to work them. And when they are done I can Catch them on the band slots where I need them.

This Monday and Tuesday I have had a planned Power out. The Electric supplier are rebuilding the 10 KV line with insulated wires and also increasing the area from 3 X 30 mm2 to 3 X 95 mm2. So hopefully I will get a more stable net and less fluctuation of the 240 V mains.

That's all for now. CUL

one more IOTA arrived.

Today I've got a QSL that's looks like a normal JA. But it is not. The card say JM1LRQ but QSO was JM1LRQ/6. And he was from AS-024, Ishigagi Island. A new one for me.

Nice card showing Mount Fuji. So my IOTA score is improving every day.

Not much else has happened here. Worked ZD8JR (OH3JR) on 80 m a few Days ago. His signals was very fine here in Sweden.

Well, that's all for now. CUL

One more new IOTA.

Worked V6G from OC-012, Yap Island on 20 m CW and the QSL arrived today. Thanks fro fast replay from PG5M.

Nice card and it looks like a nice place.

SM5AQD has tested the new 42 m GP for 160 m with fine results. One of the first QSO's was with VK4!!

New IOTA and CQWW SSB in the weekend.

I just arrived back to my QTH after a weekend at SK3W as one of the operators for the CQWW SSB Contest. Super cond's whole weekend. We managed to get over 16 million points in Multi Two class. It was lot of fun. We where F4BKV, TF3ZA, SM0MDG, SM0MLZ, SM5EPO, SM0SGP ( owner of SK3W Contest station ) and Moi!!!

The new IOTA I found in my mailbox was from YE30P, OC-034. Worked them on 15 m RTTY. So this ads up my RTTY score as well as my IOTA score.

Well that's all for  now. Have to do some washing!!

QSL, QSL, QSL!!!

Yes! Finally I've got a QSL! It is from Mexico. XE2CQ was worked on 30 m CW and 30 m RTTY.
And the RTTY QSO was the reason for requesting this card.

Nice card indeed!

The progress is on going with the GP for 160 m at SM5AQD. Now I have a Picture with terminated radials. Today we rolled out a ½ Inch Coax and connected it direct to the antenna. SWR of 1:1,4 was achieved. Z was around 35 ohms.. So it will be tested by SM5AQD tonight.

I have to tell you about the weather here in Sweden at the moment. We have had around +15 deg C for the last two days. Amazing!! But today the wind is gusting up to 30 kt. Not so pleasant.

Well this weekend it is CQWW SSB Contest. So hopefully some new stations and band slots will be in the log.

160 m GP done!

SM5AQD's GP for 160 m is done. This weekend we (SM5AQD and me) put out all radials. We put out 60 radials with a length of 50 m each.Yes that's right. We have put out 3000 m of radials around the 42 m high Tower.

Here are all radials Before terminating them to the strips. Unfortunately it was to dark to take a Picture of the radials terminated. Measured the antenna with my analyser and all is good to go!!!

This morning it was guaranteed mosquito free air! Temperature was minus 8 C ( 17,5 F )!!! That is Cold even for me.

Take care all of you readers. CUL

New IOTA again.

Yesterday I received HQ8D worked from NA-223, Vivorillo Island. Nice card. But I also worked HQ3W and HQ8S. Wonder where the QSL's from that operation are.

This is the front side.

And back side. Click on the Pictures and enjoy.

We had our first snow yesterday. But it is still some heat left in the ground so after a few hour's it was all gone. This night we had about -4 C ( 25 F ). So we knew what we will get soon!!!

Finally some QSL today!

Today I received two QSL's. One was from GW3KHZ/P from EU-106. A private owned Island with the name St. Tudwal's West Island.

This Island is rare as it is a private owned Island and there is no way to get a landing permit without the owners help.

The next IOTA QSL was from Venezuela, YW5X from La Orchila SA-054. Worked him  on both RTTY and SSB and CW.

Nice to get a few new ones. This push my score up a bit!

On Friday morning I worked K5T from Timbalier NA-119. And this morning I managed to get a QSO with HZ1GV/P from Farasan AS.193 and also JH1LRQ/6 from Yaeyama Island's. So when and if the QSL for these arrive my score will be further pushed in the right (UP) direction.

The weather man has predicted some withe fluff at the end of this week. Hope he is wrong. But I have to put my Winter tires on my car during this week any way. Just as a pre-caution.

That's all for now. CUL

Phone and Internet is back!

Finally I got my Internet and Phone back. Almost 14 days without the stuff is not fun. Apparently it was a faulty line damaged on several spots. Once they measured a distance to a fault and got it fixed. They got a new fault further away. But now I'm back on line.

Once again I've got a misty morning. But now it is raining like hell!

Got an e-mail from Bodo DF8DX as KT3Q/5 working from NA-143. And he read my blogg and saw that I missed and slipped among the letters and numbers on my keyboard. I had written NA-147 instead of NA-143. As you can see shit happens all the time!! Thanks Bodo for correcting me. Best thou was that it where correct in my DX4WIN! Thanks again Bodo.

Worked CY0P on all bands from 40 m up to 10 m. Both on CW and SSB. QSL request is in the mail on the way to VE1RGB.

Also managed to catch TO2TT on RTTY. Need only 40 m now for FH (Mayotte).

Worked TX5D, Austral Isl on 30 m. But I have not done any more efforts to catch them on any more band slots.

I visited my dentist yesterday and started my first ever root filling. That was an experience! Next visit on the 5th of Nov to close it up.

It's up!

Yesterday we erected the 42 m 160 vertical. Vent up without any problem. But as you can see we had a real helper.

And here is the result. A 42 m vertical. Make sure you have front end protection on your receivers when this baby goes live!!!

The owner is SM5AQD.

Well, I have worked a few new stations to improve my Challenge Award. I have worked CY0P on 5 new slots. The same for TO2TT. Also 5 band slots. Fine conditions and only a few calls needed to get them into the logs.

Wake Isl is on hold due to US gov shut down. Hope everything will be solved soon. I need KH9 on several band slots.

This week starts good!

This week starts good. I've got a QSL from VK5CE/P, Craig. He was working from OC-261, Flinders Island. So the IOTA score is improving.

Here is the proof!

Worked a few QSO's in the CQWW RTTY Contest just to improve my DXCC score on digital modes. This mode is new to me.  Before the Contest I had 30 worked on RTTY. After the few hours in the Contest and 183 QSO's later I was up to 80 worked. And I have already got around 20 confirmed via LoTW.

This morning I also worked two new IOTA. EJ0M from EU-121 and 9A/IQ3VO from EU-170. I hope I will pass 500 Islands this year. I have  305 confirmed and around 100 that I'm waiting for to arrive (half of that was in the IOTA Contest).

Weather today is temp around 6 C ( 43 F ) and showers. I will stay Indoors the rest of this day!!

One more new IOTA arrived!

Today I received a QSL from JA6TBE/6 working from AS-036, Ikino Shima Island.
So my IOTA score is improving all the time. I have around 310 confirmed and approx. 65 that I'm waiting for to arrive.

Not bad for starting to chase IOTA around 2 year's ago. But I still have some old QSL's to investigate if they can be claimed as an IOTA.

I have some problem with my Telephone line and Internet access. The phone is completely dead and Internet works with limited speed. The Telephone Company has promised me my line back as of yesterday. But I'm still in the shit here. Now the phone Company talks about a major fault on the line! Wonder what that means?

So I will be back when the Internet is up and running with normal speed.

Well not so much done on the radio. FO/KH0PR seams to have gone QRT. Worked him from all 3 IOTA's. Request for QSL is sent.

I also requested QSL for my QSO's with XZ1Z via Pay-Pal. And yesterday I received Myanmar on LoTW. Thanks Zorro!

Winter is approaching fast. This morning I had the first frost night. Temperature was -2 and all was white with frost. At the moment sun is shining from a clear sky and temp is around 6 C ( 42 F ).

Worked a new one!

It is not so common to Catch a new DXCC. But I managed to get in the log of XZ1Z on SSB and CW on 20 m band. Myanmar is not worked every day and it was new for me.

During this weekend I have helped a fellow Ham to assembly a 40 m high Tower that will be used as a Vertical for 160 m. It is still on the ground but will be erected during next week. If all goes as plans.

No we have had the Autumnal Equinox and that means that the sun has gone down over the North Pole for the coming 6 months!! And here, up in the 60 deg North the days is getting shorter and shorter. Best thing with this is that the condition on 80 and 160 m is improving.
Temperature is also low. At the moment is just 8 C ( 46 F ).

It was from 18 of August when I worked OC-142, Curtis Island. Call was VK4WIR/P. And it was on 20 m SSB.

Thee QSO was from the mornings in mid August when the amazing openings occured LP towards VK.

Now it is time for a cup of coffee in the garden. Temp is 18 C and sun is shining from a clear sky.

Still no QSL!

Wonder what is happening. No QSL at all so far this week.

Yesterday I was at my old Military Regiment for some information. I capture this piece of steel with my camera.

It is a fully functional Centurion on display. All Centurion was modified over the years and the whole system was faced out around 2000 when the latest version was scrapped.. But this one is kept in mint condition.

Heard FO/KH0PR on 14 MHz RTTY this morning. But he was weak and working a lot of Southern EU. But we up in and above 60 deg North was as usual without a chance. I will keep on trying.

Updated my IPHONE 4 with the new IOS 7.0. A totally new appearance. Have to learn the phone all over again. But so far all functions is simple and are closer to an Apple Computer than before. Keep up the good work you guys at Apple.

Weather in this part of Sweden is rainy and temp is around 10 C ( 50 F ).

Nil QSL so far this week!

No QSL this week so far. But there are some Days to go yet. This coming weekend the Contest SAC CW part will go off. This is fun as we in Scandinavia is the target. Hope for fine conditions. CU in the pile.

Worked HP0INT/4 on NA-088 this morning in a huge pile on 30 m CW. I'v got them all!!!

Some guy's have antennas and some has ANTENNAS! This Picture is from the 3 el Yagi for 80 m up 44 m in the air. And I had to do some repair. Nice view but some haze in the air.

Well! No one  solved the Quiz in my last post. I can tell you it is a Spoiler Mixer in the Main Wheel Well of a Boeing 737-800 (NG). The Mixer helps the aileron to turn the Aircraft. For an example a left turn the RH Aileron goes down and Left Up and also the Spoilers on the upside of the LH wing opens up as required.
That's all for education for today!

What is the grey thing in the middle of the Picture?

Correct answer will come in the next post. If you wonder what the brownish stuff is I can tell you it is corrosion protection from Dinitrol.

Well, I managed to work HP0INT/9 on NA-203 last night. Worked him in a huge pile on 21 MHz around 19:00 Z. One to "Go". And that is NA-088 starting tomorrow.

Temperature starts to getting lower and lower. Weather man is predicting some rain from late tonight.

Rare IOTA worked this morning.

I managed to work NA-202 this morning on 40 m SSB. It was the team from HP0INT/2 with very strong sigs into SM this morning. So now I will wait for the two remaining islands NA-203 and NA-088.
And the team from FO/KH0PR has one Island remaining to go to. And it is OC-238. So there are a lot to do in the near future.

No QSL received so far this week. But the Magazine CQ has start to arrive again. Hope it will continue to do so.

Have to have a Picture. What about this!?

This is one of the rescue helicopters used in my region. Hovering nice in the air.

Incident on RTTY on 20 m!!??

I was lsn around the RTTY part of 20 m today and found for me a new prefix. It was OO8ON that was Calling CQ on 20 m. Fine I thought. Nice with a new prefix. He was calling CQ and no takers. So I gave him a call and all hell broke loose! He started to accuse me for trying to take his QRG? But hello! I was trying to get a QSO with you. Called him agn with the same result and I QSY:ed away and worked some other stations.
Then I saw a spot on cluster where this ham ON8ON accused me for breaking the DX code of conduct. All this shit for trying to get a QSO with him. Well I do not need any ON in my log as I have it confirmed from 160 to 6 m.

So I'm very sorry for trying to have a QSO with You ON8ON with call OO8ON. I will never call you again ever. And if I hear you I will for sure QSY and not cause any QRM for you when you are calling CQ! And if, for some reason You will try to call me. Don't even Think about it as you will not get an answer.

So a lot of fun happen on the ham bands as you all can see. But I will stick to CW for a long time now.

But for the rest of the day I worked some stations on RY and most of them are new for me. It was EI4KF, A41OO, TM35CDXC and EA6/I1RSA. And one funny thing was that none of these stations did mind that I was Calling them. They even sent me a "73" and at least one gave me a "GL" after the QSO and no mean spots on the cluster either. Strange, or..............?

Now I will start lsn for HP0INT/2 from NA-202.

Thanks to you all and CUL

Foggy mornings!

Every morning the last week we have had very thick fog. And after the sun is up most of the fog is lifted and we get a clear sky. You can see for your self how it looks.

Worked FO/KH0PR yesterday from OC-094 Napuka Atoll. Next stop is OC-238 and I'm lsn with both ears wide open.

HP0INT/2 will start operation from NA-202 today or tomorrow if all goes as plans.
It has been hard work so far with all new IOTA.

So back to radio! CUL

Worked a few rare IOTA's.

No QSL received  so far this week. But I have worked a few new IOTA. HP0INT/3, NA-071 and HP0INT/2, NA-170. Last one was in an enormous pile. Had to call for 30 minutes before I had him in my log. Then I have worked FO/KH0PR from OC-131. Now I'm waiting for him to be heard here in Sweden from OC-094. I have seen a few spots but not a sound here up in 60 deg North.

Have to have a Picture. What about a Swedish made Dive Bomber from 1943.

It was called B17 and was built in several version's. Engine was a P&W TWC-3 delivering around 1000 Hk. This is a restored Aircraft and in full flying condition. I have seen it on a couple of air shows and the sound is just super.

Take care!

Nice QSL cards via Buro.

To day I received a few cards via Buro. And by them I found a few real nice ones. The first is from Zambia, 9J3A worked on 10 m CW. Nice to get a rare  DXCC via Buro.

It was Niko, S53A who was on a Safari and worked some ham radio as well.

Next card I have to show you just because it is such a beauty. Wonder where RT0Q got it from. He might have taken the picture him self. QSL don't say. But it is one of the best so far in my point of view.

Hope you agree with me. It is very nice. Fun to get these type of cards via Buro. Click and look at them in large scale.

Very rare IOTA in my mail box!

Today the card from K6VVA/KL7 working from NA-050, Barter Isl arrived. According to IOTA only 17% has this Island confirmed. Nice card showing a Polar Bear mum with two Cubbies in a pile of Vale Bones.

Nice card indeed! Thanks Rick! Click on the Picture to see a large image of it!

Now back to my question in my last post. You that guessed on a Boeing 747 was right. And those of you that guessed 747-400 was completely right. We used this one for Tourist charter to HS and 3B8.
Nice Aircraft to work with.

Well that's all for now. CUL

Bragg time!?

I have to bragg about that I managed to get a Picture and a small article in September Issue of CQ Magazine. It's about the SH3Y operation in WPX Contest all performed by a Group of youngsters from all over Europe. Contest was operated from the Contest station SK3W. Unfortunately I can't put a copy here ( I Think) due to copyrights so you have to look in September Issue of CQ and look at page 38. Read and just enjoy the fantastic picture ( taken by moi ).

End of bragg time for now.

Have to show you a Picture any way. So why not a picture from my working time. Wonder if you knew what type of Aircraft that has so many Main Wheels ( 16 big ones )??

Answer will come in next post! But I can give you a clue. We loaded around 500 Tourists in the cabin!!

New IOTA arrived!

YES! Today I received a QSL confirming a new IOTA. It was from 5B4MF/P from St. George's Island AS-120. A new one for me and the IOTA score keeps improving steady but very slow!!

Nice card! I have a bit over 300 confirmed at the moment. But I will wait with an update until end of this year.

Today it is windy and some small CB's travel fast over the sky with some light showers. No TS so far. Temperature is only 13 C ( 55 F ) so it is not so pleasant out in the garden.

Nothing this last week!

No QSL, no CQ Magazine since May. So what is happening? CQ have a big problem to send Magazine overseas. The problem started in April. Then they sent me a copy via normal mail. But then I have not received a CQ Magazine at all. They claimed that the problem with overseas distribution have been solved but still no Magazines in my mail box.
Wonder if I'm the only subscriber located outside US that have this problem??!!

So what's up! Do you need some help? I'm a specialist of finding food and lot of other things. But I have never chased CQ Before!! (Comment's from Balder).

On the radio this week I have worked a new IOTA. It was VK7SM from Tasmania. I have also got two new DXCC entries on PH. It was E51JD and A92HK. Both of them worked on 21 MHz PH. I have only 217 DXCC confirmed on PH so there are a lot to do here. On CW I'm well over 300.

Well, I will keep a Close Watch over my mail box this coming week. Hope that  there will be some news of incoming mail!?-
