New IOTA arrived.

Yesterday my mailman delivered a new IOTA. It was NA-059 with the call NL8F, Tim. QSL was from his manager K8NA. Here are ham's that truly understand the word "Direct". QSO date was 28 of April in the year of 2013. QSL arrived 13 May also in the year of 2013!! THANKS! So now my IOTA score is up to 290 confirmed Islands. Much to do in this field!

Tim's QTH is the well known place from the Discovery TV Channel series "Deadliest Catch" about a gang of Crab Fishers. Namely Dutch Harbor. Located on the island Unalaska in the Fox Island Group.
So once again THANKS!

I promised you a picture after I had visited MOT for my second bike. Well here you are!

It is a Suzuki DL1000. Has about 130 bhp after remapping of the injection system. That work was done by Suzuki Sweden due to bad behaviour in low rpm. And Yes, It passed the MOT without remarks. Next inspection is May 2015. See you on the roads!

No radio this weekend. Worked a few FOC operators only.

QSL from Easter Isl and DXCC update!

Today I received a QSL from Nigel, G3TXF's operation from Easter Isl.They used the call XR0YG and I managed to work them on a few band slots that I was missing CE0. Funny card and as usual quick reply from Nigel.

I also got my last update to ARRL confirmed. So now I have a 8BDXCC as I got 12 m Award confirmed. Also I have 311 DXCC so there are just (!) 35 to go. Hum? But there are only 340 valid. Yes this is correct but I have a few Deleted. Status is 311/305!!! So when will we see P5, and some other rare once out there? I imagine the cost to go to certain DXCC will never happened in my life time. Such as Peter 1:st, Bouvet. But strange things has happened before. I will for sure lsn for the upcoming FT5Z Amsterdam Isl and T33 Banaba Isl as they are new ones for me.

Well that's all for now. CUL

Amazing place to operate radio from. And an amazing effort from the team to bring all of us a new one. THANKS!!!!

So my IOTA is up one more point.

There is a lot of stations using the suffix FOC. I have worked a few and I have a score of 60 points. So I will apply for the golden award in due time. It is the FOC (First Class CW Operators' Club) that is celebrating 75 years of activity. Work as many as you can! Great fun and good operators.
