Nice QSL and a new IOTA for me!

Yes! Here are some hams that understand the Word "direct"! It is the team from I2YSB, Silvano.
They are Always fast and have a super quality on the QSL. See for your self!

And the IOTA was AF-051, Los Island (Kassa). And I also used them to fill 3X in my DXCC list by working them on the missing slots including SSB and RTTY. Super!

Nice card from a nice Place!!!!

I have been chasing VK0EK and I have had some success. Worked them yesterday on 160 m and 80 m CW. The signals was best on 160 m to my surprise. And only two calls and he was in my log. 80 took some more time.

But I have been chasing them on 40, 17, 15, 12 and 10 m. But so far no QSO. At the moment I'm lsn on 40 and what a zoooooo! Are this grown up people? I wonder!

Amazing story!

The plan for Easter was to go down to my daughter's place in Varberg city down South of Sweden. About 550 Km from my QTH. Not so keen due to VK0EK started their operation from Heard Island. This is not an ATNO for me. But I have it confirmed only on 20 m CW (VK0CW in the 80'es)
So on the 24 of March in the evening I can hear them quite strong on 30 m CW working down.
I just called him once with only 45 W (no amp started) from my FT-1000MP MK-V. And to my very big surprise he came back to moi!!! And I've got a green dot in the DXA!!! Time of wonder is not over yet. And I started my journey to Varberg with joy!

This is my daughter's new pet. He spend a lot of time with me during my visit to Varberg. Very nice cat. On the picture he sits outside telling me to let him in.

Well, I'm home and I will start chase VK0EK and the upcoming FT4JA.

Any way, Easter is on it's way this coming weekend and change to summertime. Sun is up over the North Pole for ½ a year from now. Also some rare Islands is coming up. What about Heard Island VK0EK and Juan de Nova FT4JA. They are not ATNO for me but I need them both on SSB and RTTY. So PLS all QRM:ers load up with lots of energy so you can cope with the situation with 2 rare ones to F..K Up.

Old QSL from Midway Isl!

I was looking through my IOTA status and found that I had Midway Island, OC-030 confirmed in LoTW. But I couldn't find the QSL! Further investigation showed that the card was not received. So I sent a new request to the manager and wow! Here it is! QSO was from 2009!!!!!

So here is front and rear. And my IOTA score is up with one Point!! Super.

Regarding QSL from ZL9A, Antipodes Island. I will not tell you if I've got it or not. And I will not yet show it to you all on my blog! Sorry!!!!!

3XY1T confirmed via LoTW!

Thanks to the team from Italy. I've got all my Contacts with 3XY1T confirmed via LoTW. This means that I have Guinea from 160 to 10 m. And all modes. 5 QSO's was all I needed to fill the missing slots. Tnx once more to I2YSB Silvano's team for Quick response and a nice operation. Now I only need the QSL for the IOTA AF-051 and then all is just fine.
I used this Equipment to work 3XY1T from 160 to 10 m.

TS-590S and a ACOM1010 running about 800 W. The blue boxes is Control unit for K9AY RX-Antenna and an SixPak control head used for controlling my home made antenna switch (6 antennas and 6 transceivers). Keyer is a Kent paddle with interface from microHAM a Digikeyer II. All work just fine. Above all is a LP-100A Digital Vector Power Meter from TelePost N8LP. That is a super accessory to my station. I will indeed recommend this vector meter to you all!

This morning I managed to Nail 3XY1T on 160 m. And this just after a few calls. SUPER Thanks to the operators of I2YSB team. So now with some old QSO's 3X is done from 160 to 10m and all modes.

So once more, Thanks to the Italian DXpedition Team (Picture borrowed from QRZ.com).

Last night I also got a QSO with VK5MAV/6 from OC-243 Breaksea Island. And this IOTA was a new one for Moi!!

So, Back to radio!
